- Is this going in my file?
- Who else gets told?
- Do I have to say why?
- Was that a joke or a warning?
- Did I already agree to this?
- When did this become my job?
- Is it me, or is it them?
- Why am I the one fixing it?
- Do I put this in writing?
- Is this the third time?
- What happens if I say no?
- Who decides what's reasonable?
- Does asking make it worse?
- Am I the only one who minds?
- Should I have kept that email?
This won't answer them. It will keep them apart and in order.
Inspectable is a private workspace for one work situation at a time. Eight rooms, and every word in them is yours.
- What do I say on Monday?

Three weeks later, the thread is still there.
You write down what happened, in your own words, the day it happens. Then three weeks pass — a conversation, or no conversation, and a dozen other things on top of it. When you come back it is all still here: dated, in order, and still in your words.
- It never tells you who is right. It organizes what you know; the judgment stays yours.
- It never writes the advice. Which is exactly why it can afford to take advice apart.
- Nothing you write leaves the workspace — not to an employer, not to a third party, and never to anyone on your behalf.
Someone gave you an answer. Here is what it is standing on.
You should document everything and escalate to HR immediately.
Your employer has to respond within five business days.
Be firm — most managers back down when you cite policy.
The check never says whether the answer is right; it shows you what the answer rests on, and leaves the deciding to you.
One situation moves through all eight rooms.

Ask for fifteen minutes to settle the order
Is the report date fixed, or is it a preference?
I do not know whether the report date is fixed or a preference. I have not asked.
I have roughly 30 hours of work and about 18 hours before the report is due. Something will be late and I have not said so yet.
I think the two requests came from people who have not spoken to each other. I am assuming neither of them knows what the other asked for.
I assumed the two had agreed between themselves. I have no evidence of that and I have not checked.
Asked to also run the quarterly report, by a different person, same week. Also described as the priority.
I think one of them simply forgot about the other piece of work.
Asked to take on the migration work. Described as "the priority for this quarter".
